A man who was fatally stabbed in West Molesey has been named and pictured for the first time.

The victim, 26-year-old Louis Craze, was pronounced dead at the scene on November 18.

Officers were called to Bishop Fox Way shortly after midday, following reports of a stabbing incident.

Danny Craze, 36, from West Molesey, has since been charged with murder and remanded in custody.

The police believe the victim and suspect were acquainted.

The case of Louis Craze's death has been forwarded to the local coroner.

Louis Craze's family have paid tribute to him with a heartfelt statement, saying: "Following the tragic news that we received on Saturday, the only word to describe how the family is feeling is heartbroken.

"We would ask that people appreciate that this is a sad and tragic time for the family and that we are left alone to grieve for Louis in peace whilst we try to understand what has happened."

Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Hicks said: "I would like to express my sincere condolences to Louis’s family during this difficult and sad time.

"We are conducting a thorough investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened and are asking anyone who has any information, to contact us quoting Op Ganges.
