A funeral service will be held for 15-year-old schoolgirl Elianne Andam who was stabbed to death in Croydon.

Elianne was on her way to school when she was attacked in Wellesley Road at 8.30am on September 27.

Her family have since described her as “beautiful” and “funny” who had many friends that adored her.

The funeral will take place at the New Life Christian Centre in Croydon at 10.30am until 1.30pm on November 11.

The procession will start by leaving the family home in Derby Road just after 9.30am and will move up to London Road, and then up Poplar Walk, before turning right onto Wellesley Road which will be closed to traffic.

They will travel down George Street and then Church Street where a short stop will be made at Old Palace School before the procession arrives at New Life.

Mourners are able to pay their respects to Elianne by lining the route of the funeral procession.

The service and reception are invitation only and the burial will be for family members only.

The service will be live streamed on the New Life Croydon website from 10.30am.

It is claimed Elianne’s attacker wearing a mask and gloves had removed a large knife from his waistband and stabbed her repeatedly.

As he fled the scene, others attempted to administer first aid but Elianne could not be saved.

A 17-year-old boy was charged with murder and possession of a knife and will face a murder trial in the spring.

He was arrested in New Addington at 9.45am the same day.

Elianne was the 16th teenage victim of homicide in London so far this year.
