Haunted Ghost Stories of London

The Ghost of the London Underground

The London Underground is already a scary place and the Covent Garden Ghost only adds to the fear.

Many have noted sightings of a tall man wearing a hat and cloak wandering around the station after dark.

Some suggest it is the murdered actor William Terriss who would visit the bakery once at the station.

Many Tube workers have shared their stories and some even asked to move to another station away from the ghost.

The Ghost of London Zoo

London Zoo looks like a nice family-friendly attraction but some visitors have reported hearing the ghost of the Whistler.

The Whistler is believed to haunt the aquarium area and some suggest he was once a handyman for the zoo.

Some London Zoo workers share that they have often heard cheerful whistling, footsteps but The Whistler has always kept to himself fixing the zoo.

The screaming ghost of Farringdon

Much like Covent Garden, Farringdon has its ghost, known as the Screaming Spectre.

Some share that on quiet nights a bloodcurdling scream can be heard that leaves travellers shaking in their boots.

The screams are believed the belong to Anne Naylor a hat maker who was murdered back in 1758 and her body was left on the station site.

The Phantom Hitchhiker of Blackwall Tunnel

Blackwall Tunnel seems unsuspecting, but drivers have reported sightings of a Phantom Hitchhiker at the south entrance.

Described as having long black hair wearing motorcycle gear and in need of a lift, some share the phantom is polite in conversation but seems to suddenly disappear.

Some suggest that the phantom was a man who died in a motorcycle accident and hoped to get a lift out of the tunnel.
