Planned engineering work will take place on certain Southern Railway lines this weekend, closing some lines.

The work will be taking place from Saturday (August 19) and Sunday (August 20) on particular routes and may impact your journey.

We have compiled all of the information about the closures and diversions so that you can plan your route.

Saturday and Sunday (August 19 and 20)

Engineering work is taking place in the Eastleigh area, closing some lines.

Trains which normally run via Eastleigh will be diverted via Swanwick, not calling.

Additionally on Saturday, the 14:26 Southampton Central to Brighton service will not call at Southampton Parkway or Eastleigh.

Sunday (August 20)

Reduced service between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace / Norwood Junction / West Croydon

Engineering work is taking place between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace / West Croydon, closing all lines.

London Overground

Until 8am and after 11.30pm no service will operate between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace / West Croydon.

Ticket Acceptance

•     You should use London Bus / Tram services via any reasonable route to complete your journey.

•     You can also use Southern services between New Cross Gate and West Croydon.

Thameslink

Until 8am, trains running between East Croydon and London Bridge will be diverted via Selhurst which means Norwood Junction will not be served.

Journey times will be extended as a result of the diversion.

Southern

Until 8am, buses will replace trains between London Bridge and East Croydon.

Services between London Bridge and Caterham will depart earlier and will not call at Norwood Junction.

Additionally, the 7.28am London Bridge to London Victoria service will start at Crystal Palace.

No service between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction / Watford Junction

Engineering work is taking place between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction, closing all lines.

London Overground

No services will operate between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction.

Two additional trains per hour will run between Stratford and Willesden Junction, running at the same time as the cancelled Clapham services.

Ticket Acceptance

Passengers should use London Buses via any reasonable route to complete their journey.

Southern

No service will operate between Clapham Junction and Watford Junction.

You can use the following services to complete your journey at no additional cost:

•     London Northwestern Railway between London Euston and Watford Junction

•     London Overground between London Euston and Watford Junction

•     London Underground between London Euston and London Victoria

•     Southern between Clapham Junction and London Victoria

Buses replace trains between Sutton and Streatham

Engineering work taking place between Sutton / Wimbledon and Streatham, closing some lines.

Thameslink

Rail replacement buses will run between Sutton and Streatham via Mitcham Junction.

Trains will be revised to run between Herne Hill / Wimbledon and Luton.

Southern

Trains between London Victoria and Epsom Downs via Selhurst will run between London Victoria and West Croydon.

Trains between London Victoria and Dorking will run between Epsom and Dorking.

Rail replacement buses will run between:

•     Streatham and Epsom

•     West Croydon and Epsom Downs

Buses replace early morning / late night services between Brighton and Three Bridges

Engineering work is taking place between Brighton and Three Bridges, closing various lines.

Thameslink

Until 8.30am and after 11.30pm, buses will replace trains between Brighton and Three Bridges.

Southern

Until 8.15am buses will replace trains between Brighton and Three Bridges.

Services between Brighton and London Victoria will start / terminate at Three Bridges.

No Southern service via Eastleigh

Engineering work is taking place in the Eastleigh area, closing some lines.

Trains which normally run via Eastleigh will be diverted via Swanwick, not calling.

Additionally on Saturday, the 12.26pm Southampton Central to Brighton service will not call at Southampton Parkway or Eastleigh.
