Police are appealing for information after a cyclist has died following a crash with a lorry in Battersea.

Yesterday (August 10) at 7:55am police were called to the scene in Battersea Bridge.

A lorry had crashed with a cyclist.

The cyclist, a 27-year-old woman, died at the scene.

Police have confirmed that her next of kin have been informed.

The lorry did not stop at the scene and was later located in Fulham by Met Officers.

The driver of the lorry was spoken to by police and has not been arrested.

Inquiries into the crash continue and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Officers are appealing for information following a fatal collision on Battersea Bridge.

“Police were called at 07:55hrs on Thursday, 10 August to Battersea Bridge, SW10, on the northside of the bridge.

“A collision was reported between a lorry and a cyclist.

“The cyclist, a 27-year-old woman from Battersea, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Her next of kin have been informed.

“The lorry did not stop at the scene, but was subsequently located by officers in Fulham, SW6.

“The driver of the lorry has been spoken to by police. He has not been arrested and inquiries continue.

“The investigation is being led by officers from the Met's Serious Collison Investigation Unit who are appealing for witnesses, information or dash-cam footage.
