Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has revealed he decided against a deal for midfield target Wes Hoolahan, who signed for Norwich City yesterday.
The Yorkshireman was tracking the Blackpool winger towards the end of the last season and had been strongly linked with a move for him over the summer.
However, he decided against it because he felt he did not need another winger.
He said: "In the end I didn't go for him as I don't see us playing 4-4-2 next season and we have enough players in his position with youngsters Sean Scannell and Victor Moses coming through."
