An arrest warrant has been issued after a man who sexually assaulted a woman on a bus failed to turn up to court.

Feti Aram, 41, sexually assaulted a woman by sexually touching her on a rail replacement bus between Victoria Railway station and London Bridge station on October 16, 2022.

Aram, of Rectory Grove in Croydon, was due to appear at Inner London Crown Court for sentencing on Thursday (July 27) but failed to turn up.

The sentencing had previously been adjourned on June 29 to allow Aram to find representation as he turned up to court without a lawyer to represent him.

At that hearing Aram told the court: “This case since September is going on. It’s eating my heart out day-by-day. It seriously aches me, the way I think everytime I go through this case or think about this case I can’t take it, I just want it to be over.”

He added: “For me it’s like a black mark on my head. It was not my normal behaviour but unfortunately it was me.”

On Thursday Judge Rosina Cottage KC issued an arrest warrant after Aram didn’t turn up for sentencing, having been released on bail.
