The teenager charged with the murder of Croydon student Sian Simpson has taken the stand at the Old Bailey.
Chelsea Bennett, 19, formerly of London Road, Croydon denies the charge and says she stabbed Sian in self-defence.
Grilled by prosecutor Brian Altman QC, Bennett denies grinning after being seen making stabbing motions towards the dead girl's chest.
Bennett said her claim of finding the knife with which she stabbed the girl on the ground was "not nonsense".
Jurors have heard the row started over the father of Sian's cousin's child, Nathan Davidson, who at the time of the incident was going out with Bennett's best friend Daniele Cooke. Miss Cooke was pregnant with Mr Davidson's child at the time.
The trial continues.
