For the first time in history many of the prominent buildings in Feltham were open to the public on Saturday.
Feltham and Bedfont Open House Day was organised by Feltham History Group and attracted hundreds of visitors.
Numerous churches, the magistrates' court in Hanworth Road, the Red Lion pub and Feltham fire station all flung open their doors.
At the fire station, visitors were shown fire fighting equipment and children were taught the importance of fire safety.
Old photographs were on display in the Red Lion Inn, the oldest pub in the area which was built around 1700, and the Church of St Mary the Virgin on Bedfont Green, St Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, St Dunstan's and Christ Church, Feltham, also welcomed visitors.
Vice chairman of Feltham History Group Eddie Menday, who was the main organiser of the event, said he was delighted so many people had turned up to enjoy the day.
