A 19-year-old man was stabbed late last night in Richmond.

Police were called to Heathside in Whitton at around 11pm on July 5.

A 19-year-old man was found with stab injuries and was taken to hospital by paramedics from London Ambulance Service.

His condition was later found to be not life-threatening.

Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses or people with further information to come forward and contact officers quoting crime reference number CAD8535/5Jul.

A spokesperson for Richmond Police said: "Police were called at approximately 23:00hrs on Wednesday, 5 July to reports of a stabbing in Heathside, Whitton.

"Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a 19-year-old man suffering stab injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment; his condition is not life threatening.

"No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
