Four time French Open champion Rafael Nadal believes he is a better all-round player than when he lost in five sets to champion Roger Federer in last year's Wimbledon final.
The 21-year-old beat German Andreas Beck in straight sets 6-4 6-3 7-6 on Centre Court to ease in to a second round clash with Latvian Ernests Gulbis.
But Nadal, seeded two at this year's Championships, admits it is hard to tell if he can convert his form on clay into a title triumph at SW19.
"The last two years I have played the final at Wimbeldon, so it is very difficult to say I am a better player," he said.
"In my opinion I am a more complete player because I have more options.
"I don't know if I'm a better player or not on grass. I think in general I am."
