British number one Anne Keothavong revealed she had to beat herself as much as opponent Vania King to set up a second-round clash with defending champion Venus Williams.
Keothavong produced an edgy first set display before returning from a toilet break to stage a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 revival.
And the Brit admitted she was none too happy with her start.
Keothavong said: "I needed the toilet - I needed to regroup.
"I was in the toilets there and I was shaking because I was just so annoyed with myself.
"I was frustrated about the performance I'd given in the first set.
"But I felt I showed tremendous courage to just get myself out of that mess and win the match."
Keothavong is now relishing the prospect of her clash with Williams, and insists she has nothing to fear.
She added: "It's what you play tennis for, to play these big matches.
"I've got nothing to lose and I'm looking forward to it.
"I believe I can win - there's not a lot of point in me going on court if I didn't think I was going to win."
And the Brit is hoping her SW19 form will see another rise in the world rankings, having qualified for Wimbledon by right.
She revealed: "I've cracked the top 100 which was a goal of mine for so long.
"Next step will be 75 and then obviously 50.
"I'm going to keep going - I don't think you can put a limit on it."
