A 24-year-old student has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was set on fire in Staines.
Nadim Kurrimbukus, from Hounslow, appeared at Staines Magistrates' Court yesterday.
He is accused of setting alight 23-year-old Charles Davies in Templedene Avenue on June 14. The victim suffered serious burns in the attack and is still in a critical condition at a specialist burns unit at East Grinstead Hospital.
Mr Kurrimbukus was remanded in custody and will appear at Kingston Crown Court on July 7.
