Britain's Elena Baltacha has credited the LTA's National Tennis Centre with the recent resurgence in the women's game.
The Ukraine-born 25-year-old became the first home grown player through to the second round this year after beating Germany's Angelique Kerber 6-2 2-6 7-5 on Tuesday.
Five Brits are in the world's top 200 - including New Malden's Melanie South - while British number one Anne Keothavong recently broke into the top 100.
And Baltacha reckons the LTA - and its Roehampton centre of excellence - deserves praise for putting their money where their mouth is.
"You look at four or even five of us girls and we are coming up," she said.
"We are all based at the NTC - apart from one - and we are really pushing each other.
"The LTA have been fantastic. They have supported us so much and are really backing us.
"Anne broke into the top 100, hopefully I am on my way there. I think things are looking much brighter."
