Mark Yeates's protracted move to Crystal Palace is still on according to manager Neil Warnock, despite the midfielder failing a medical.
The 23-year-old winger was all set to move from the Essex club to Selhurst Park last week, with a fee agreed between the clubs, but an old shoulder injury has put the deal on hold.
However Warnock, who has been tracking Yeates for the last six months, insisted that he was still keen on bringing the Irishman to SE25.
He said: "It's still in the plans. He has failed a medical but it's his shoulder and he is having rehabilitation at the moment.
"We are going to try and get him in the situation where his shoulder is acceptable, he's not had the proper rehabilitation if I'm honest."
Yeates scored eight goals for the relegated Us last season in 31 appearances, having joined them last summer from Tottenham Hotspur.
He began his career coming through the youth ranks at Spurs, making his debut at 19 after a spell on loan at Brighton.
He signed for Colchester on loan for the 2005-06 season, scoring six times in 50 appearances, before a frustrating temporary spell at Hull saw him move to Leicester.
