A man has been charged with murder after a woman was rushed to hospital after being stabbed and is in a critical condition.

Hussain Haron, of London Road in Mitcham, was charged with murder in connection with the incident at a residential address in Grenaby Avenue, Croydon on Friday, June 9.

The 22-year-old has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

The woman, 29, was found with stab wounds and rushed to hospital where she remains in critical condition.

He is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 21.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “A man has been charged with the attempted murder of a woman in Croydon

“Hussain Haron, 22 (17.09.00) of London Road, Mitcham, was charged in connection with an incident at a residential address in Grenaby Avenue, Croydon on Friday, 9 June.

“A 29-year-old woman found with stab wounds was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

“Haron has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

“He is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Monday, 12 June.”
