Shocking photos show a car dangling on the ledge over Carshalton Pond following a crash.
The car on Carshalton High Street was involved in the crash early yesterday afternoon (May 29).
Police were in attendance and announced that there were no injuries or arrests in relation to the incident.
Pictures from the scene show that some of the railings along the pond are now down, with one side of the blue car hanging over the ledge.
Locals took to social media to express concerns about the width of the road and how the railings are quite often damaged due to similar incidents. Sutton Council has explained that responsibility for the road and safety railings lies with TFL as it is an A Road.
