A man has been taken to hospital with stab wounds and three arrested following a stabbing in Clapham.

At 4.17am today (May 14) police were called to the scene of an assault in Clapham High Street.

Police attended the scene along with ambulance crews from London Ambulance Service.

 A man was taken to hospital with stab wounds which have been assessed as “not life-threatening.”

  At 4.40am officers stopped a car in Ealing Road in Brentford after it was allegedly linked to the stabbing.

The occupants of the car, two men and a woman, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in custody at a police station in south London.

Enquiries are currently ongoing.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 04:17hrs on Sunday, 14 May to reports of an assault in Clapham High Street.

“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.

“A man, aged in his 20s, was found with stab wounds and taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.   

“At around 04:40hrs officers stopped a car in Ealing Road, Brentford, after it was linked to the stabbing.

"The occupants of the car, two men and a woman, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. 

“They remain in custody at a south London police station.

“Enquiries are ongoing and any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 1285/14May.
