Three men have been taken to hospital after a triple attack in Croydon. 

The incident happened in St James’ Road at around 6.40am today (April 15).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found three men injured.

Two of them were found with stab injuries and one had reportedly been assaulted.

All three men have been taken to hospital for further treatment.

Two of the men's injuries have been assessed as not life threatening.

The condition of the third man is currently unknown.

A male, with no further details, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

A crime scene remains in place and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at approximately 06:40hrs on Saturday, 15 April to reports of an assault in St James’ Road, Croydon.

"Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found three men suffering injuries.

“Two had stab injuries and one had been assaulted.

"All three have been taken to hospital for treatment; two of the men's injuries have been confirmed as not life threatening.

"Condition awaits for the third man.

"One male – no further details – was arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH.

"A crime scene remains in place at the location and enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing."
