A woman has been taken to hospital following a crash on London Road in Thornton Heath yesterday afternoon, and police are appealing for information.

According to AA Maps the incident was first reported on April 9 at 3:22pm with slow moving traffic “both ways” around Croydon Hospital.

The incident involved a crash with a motorbike and a car.

One woman was treated at the scene for her injuries, which police say are “not life threatening”, and was taken to hospital.

No arrests have currently been made and police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

According to AA Maps six bus services were diverted due to the incident.

Yesterday a spokesperson for Met Police said: “Police are on London Road, Thornton Heath at the scene of a motorcycle in collision with a car.

“A woman, no further details, was treated at the scene for injuries deemed not life threatening by medics.

“She will be conveyed to hospital.

“There have been no arrests.

“Anyone who witnessed this incident or has footage, but has not yet spoken with police, should call 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting 4190/9APR.”

London Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
