Police have released images of four females after two people were assaulted on a bus in Thornton Heath leaving one in hospital.

On August 28 at around 12:30am a man and a woman were assaulted on the top deck of the 250 bus from Streatham to Croydon.

Police say that the two victims were sat towards the rear of the top deck when four females boarded the bus and sat behind them.

Police say that when the bus was in the area of Brigstock Road in Thornton Heath, the woman was “struck with a bottle” by the group.

Both victims moved seats, but were followed before the man was “struck with a crutch.”

Police say that the females then disembarked from the bus.
