A man has been violently robbed of £3,000 cash by two men in Ewell.

Two men approached the victim at around 1pm on February 15 and began assaulting him.

£3,000 in cash was taken from the man before the suspects fled the scene.

The suspects are described as white men, around 20-years-old and of a slim build.

One is around five foot 11 inches tall wearing a black tracksuit and black cap.

The other is described as around five foot nine inches tall and was also wearing a black cap.

Police are asking people to check their ring doorbell footage or for any witnesses to come forward and help the investigation.

A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed and assaulted on Amis Avenue in Ewell on Wednesday, 15 February.

“Did you witness a robbery and assault in Ewell on 15 February?

“The incident took place between 12.45pm and 1pm and involved two men approaching the victim, assaulting him and then robbing him of over £3000 in cash.

“They then fled the scene.

“The two suspects are described as White men, around 20-years-old, and of slim build. The first suspect is described as around 5' 11" tall and was wearing a black tracksuit with a black cap.

“The second suspect is described as being around 5' 9" tall and was also wearing a black cap.
