A street cleaner caught on fire while cleaning the streets in Croydon early this morning (January 26).
Firefighters were called to the vehicle at the junction of Junction Road and Selsdon Road in South Croydon at around 6am this morning.
It was brought under control by 6.20am.
Selsdon Road was forced to close while the blaze was extinguished but has since reopened.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire at the junction of Junction Road and Selsdon Road in South Croydon.
“The Brigade was called at 6.03am and the fire was under control by 6.20am “A crew from Croydon Fire Station attended the scene. “
