Brit pop group Blur has announced that they will reunite for a very special one-off Wembley Stadium show.

The show will see the group’s singer-songwriter Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree reunite to perform their anthems on July 8 2023.

The group rose to fame in the 90's with hit songs including Girls & Boys and Coffee & TV.

Speaking of their return, frontman Albarn said "We really love playing these songs and thought it’s about time we did it again.”

Whilst guitarist Coxon said: “I’m really looking forward to playing with my Blur brothers again and revisiting all those great songs.

“Blur live shows are always amazing for me. A nice guitar and an amp turned right up and loads of smiling faces.”

The award-winning band has been often credited for helping define the Britpop genre since its start in 1991.

After releasing their debut album in 1991, Blur went on to score six UK number-one albums and a string of hits including Beetlebum and Country House.

They have collected five Brit awards, four of which were received in 1995, and their eighth studio album titled The Magic Whip was released in 2015.

Their one-off show will see them joined by singer-songwriter Self Esteem, British rapper Slowthai and electro-pop duo Jockstrap.
