Cinemagoers were left in darkness when Clapham Picture House was affected by a power cut at 6.45pm this evening.
EDF Energy confirmed the power failure and said engineers would be on site at 8.45pm to assess the problem.
A ticket office worker at sister cinema The Ritzy in Brixton said staff had been told not to take bookings for the venue for the time being.
