A man armed with an axe has been arrested after allegedly threatening the public with an axe in east Croydon.
Croydon officers were deployed to the "violent" male who was threatening multiple people in the area.
The man then reportedly fled the scene on a bus and tried to escape from police.
Officers tracked the bus and the man was detained and arrested.

Croydon Police tweeted: "Response team B Officers were deployed to a violent male armed with an axe threatening multiple members of the public in east Croydon.
"The male fled the scene on a bus and tried to evade police.
