Scottish singer Sandi Thom says she has put her "drugs and rock 'n' roll" past behind her.

Thom shot to fame when she beamed concerts around the world via the internet from the basement of her Tooting flat.

The rocker, originally from Macduff, in Aberdeenshire , told Real Radio: "Drugs and rock'n'roll have gone hand-in-hand for, like, decades.

"I will admit I've been there and done it and got the t-shirt. But I'm 26, so I'm a bit older and now I'm kind of out of that."

When asked which "t-shirt" exactly she had worn, she would only respond: "All but one, that is all I'm going to say." But this was now in the past, she insisted.

"I still go and get all drunk and stuff, but it's always kind of tame. It's all in the name of good fun," she said.

Thom's debut single I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker hit the number one spot in the UK, and her first album sold more than 700,000 copies.
