A drunk driver has admitted killing a South African rugby fan as he walked home after celebrating his team's World Cup win.
Hugh Morton, 34, of Ethelbert Road, Raynes Park, was watching the rugby with one of his brothers in a Wimbledon pub on October 21.
He was hit by a car in Kingston Road near Wimbledon Chase train station about 4.25am and London Ambulance officers declared him dead at the scene.
Jimmy Kateende, 28, admitted driving his Fiat Brava without due care and attention while under the influence of alcohol during a hearing at Kingston Crown Court.
He will be sentenced on February 29 and had been told to expect a custodial sentence.
