Keira Knightley has missed out on another gong after failing to receive an Oscar nomination earlier this month for her performance in Atonement.
While co-star James McAvoy picked up actor of the year at the Richard Attenborough Film Awards, Keira lost out to Aussie Cate Blanchett.
Atonement also won best film, film-maker of the year for director Joe Wright and screenwriter of the year for Christopher Hampton.
The awards are voted by regional film journalists in the UK.
Atonement, an adaptation of Ian McEwan's best-selling novel, has been nominated for seven Oscars, including best picture.
It is also in contention for 14 awards at the Baftas, which take place next week.
Keira, who now lives in Wandsworth, attended Teddington School and Esher College.
