Regarding the article Bereaved is sickened by marketing "breach", Wimbledon Guardian, January 24.
I cannot comment on Mr Trent's complaint while it is going through our procedures. But, as current chair of the crematorium board, I want to emphasise our commitment to providing sensitive and appropriate services to bereaved families.
As well as aiming to maintain a dignified and peaceful setting for funerals, we offer a wide choice of memorials for those who want them - and therefore need to know about them.
We have an ongoing programme of investment and improvement, including a new remembrance hall opened last year and making entries in our book of remembrance accessible electronically.
A new guidebook to London cemeteries praises our gardens. Complaints are very unusual and expressions of appreciation more common.
