A broken down car has blocked a lane of the A3 westbound near the Tolworth Underpass.
The inside lane has been closed between the A240 Kingston Road and A243 Hook Road -A309 Hook Rise North causing delays for motorists.
Drivers also face heavy traffic eastbound on the A3 as well as slow traffic on A24 Morden Road northbound from A297 Morden Hall Road to A219 Merton Road.
While traffic is heavy and motorists are struggling through strong winds and light rain, Transport for London is reporting no other major delays.
