The Duchess of York has been left with a £20,000 clean up bill after leaving a candle burning in a toilet at her Englefield Green home.
Firefighters were called to Fergie's home, Dolphin House, yesterday morning after reports of a small fire in a bathroom.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene after a housekeeper raised the alarm. The room suffered fire and smoke damage but nobody was injured.
Fergie had left the house for a business meeting in London.
Dolphin House sits less than a mile from her former husband Prince Andrew's home at Royal Lodge, Windsor.
The duchess moved to Englefield Green last year after the sale of the former family home at Sunninghill Park
