Staines Town hitman Mark Nwokeji has urged fans not to panic after the Swans drew another blank in a 0-0 draw at Hornchurch on Tuesday night.

The Swans' winless streak stretched to four games in the deadlock with their fellow play-off chasers, and came on the back of a 2-0 reverse at Hastings at the weekend.

But 24-goal Nwokeji, forced to sit out last night with a hamstring strain, has insisted there is little cause for concern.

He said: "There is always talk that if I don't play the team don't score.

"But that's rubbish - the team is very capable of scoring even if I'm not playing.

"The other lads just need to get a bit of confidence back in front of goal.

"Hornchurch are a good side and it was a well-earned point.

"The pitch was not in the best condition and we were happy with how we played."

The games are coming thick and fast for the Swans as they battle through a fixtures pile-up thanks to their FA Cup heroics - with Wealdstone the next port of call on Saturday.

And Nwokeji is still convinced his side are destined for glory this season.

He added: "We have games in hand but you have to make those games count.

"But there is no doubt in my mind that we will make the play-offs."
