A man has allegedly been assaulted on a train at East Croydon station.

Police were called to the line shortly after 7.30pm yesterday evening (February 13) where a man was found suffering from minor injuries.

He did not require medical attention at the time.

Enquiries are ongoing following the incident.

A spokesperson for BTP said: “Officers were called to East Croydon station at 7.35pm yesterday evening (13 February) following reports of an assault on-board a train.

“A man suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

“Enquiries into this incident are ongoing.

"Witnesses, or anyone with information, can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 453 of 13/02/22.”
