PATRICK Vieira is keeping his cards close to his chest over the club's transfer business during the January transfer window.

Palace have been linked with a move for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah since before the start of the window as they look to bolster their attacking options.

However, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has said that the player is going to stay with Arsenal despite his contract expiring at the end of the season.

When asked if the interest in Nketiah was over, Vieira said: "I have nothing to say about him.

"He is an Arsenal player and his manager (Mikel Arteta) makes it clear he will stay at Arsenal.

"I have nothing to comment."

The manager did however suggest that the club are trying to improve their team during the window and that he has identified areas that need strengthening.

Vieira did say though that he was "pleased" with his squad.
