The four boys who died following a house fire in Sutton last night have been named by their grandfather in a heart breaking social media tribute.

Grandad Jason Hoath named four-year-old Kyson and Bryson and three-year-old Leyton and Logan as the victims of the tragedy.

He said he is "devastated" that the "horrendous" house fire led to his "amazing, smart and beautiful grandsons" losing their lives.

Grieving grandad Jason continued by saying they were "taken too soon" and they will "always be in our hearts and thoughts".

He signed the post off with "Boys I love you forever, Grandad xxx."

The tribute was a caption to a picture of the four children smiling while all holding hands.

Fire crews were called to the scene of the fire in Collingwood Road at 6.55pm on Thursday evening.

The first fire crews on scene were faced with an intense blaze throughout the whole of the ground floor.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus entered the mid-terrace house and brought four young children out of the property.

They were given immediate CPR by firefighters at the scene, who continued to administer treatment to assist ambulance crews on arrival.

All four children were taken to hospital and despite emergency services efforts, they were pronounced dead.

The Brigade was called at 6.55pm and the fire was under control by 8.36pm.

A woman has since been arrested on suspicion of child neglect and is being held in police custody.

Emergency services have been at the scene throughout today, with members of the public paying tribute to the children by laying flowers and teddies.
