Start it Right cic and Big Local Broad Green are inviting locals to a Winter Grotto event in Croydon.
The festive event, on December 11, will involve refreshments and family activities - such as face painting, arts and crafts and child-friendly competitions.
The event will take place from 11.00am to 3.00pm and is free for all to attend.
Many community organisations are supporting the event - including Asian Resource Centre Croydon, Playtime at the Pavilion and GO2Games.
Children under the age of 13 will also get a free gift, subject to availability.
The Mayor of Croydon will also be present at the event to cut the ribbon to mark the first Christmas post-lockdown.
He said: “For many families, the festive period can be both an exciting and challenging time, especially in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“This is why occasions like this make all the difference to the local community in bringing people from all backgrounds together to look ahead to the future.
“I am very excited to see the outcome of the event and wish it every success."
