Storm Arwen is due to sweep the UK over the weekend with strong winds, snow, rain, and cold temperatures being warned by the Met Office. 

Dorset will feel seem impact of Arwen, with Saturday, November 27 giving a yellow warning for wind. 

The Met Office is warning that the area will reach cold temperatures with heavy showers and some hail and risks of gales. 

 

Dorset Weather Report for the Weekend:

Expect a cloudy start in the morning with heavy blustery showers and some hail to come with a 20% chance of precipitation. 

The area will be very windy with gales coming in from Storm Arwen as winds reach highs of 54mph. 

Temperatures will reach 7 degrees with a chance of frosty starts in the mornings. 

Weymouth: Light showers will be coming across the area with a high of 40% chance of precipitation and a maximum of temperatures of 9 degrees. On Saturday the area has a yellow warning for wind, with gales reaching 53mph.

Swanage: Dark clouds across the day with temperatures at 5 degrees and there is an 80% chance of rain. Wind gusts will reach 55mph and expect a frosty morning. 

Poole: The area will have sunny spells and temperatures up to 9 degrees on Friday. Expect strong gusts of winds at 52mph and chills across the region. 

Lyme Regis: A 70% chance of rain is predicted for the area with temperatures reaching 10 degrees. Wind gusts will reach a high of 55 mph and there will be rain outbreaks overnight. 

Dorchester: A sunny start the day with rain coming in later in the day with a 60% chance of precipitation. Yellow warning for wind in the area as gales reach highs of 52 mph.
