Leatherhead FA Cup hero Dave Stevens has backed AFC Wimbledon to spring a surprise and down Blue Square Premier outfit Torquay, writes Simon Fitzjohn.
Stevens, left, was part of the Tanners' fairytale run to the first-round proper last season, when they came close to dumping the then-League Two Gulls out of the competition.
And he insists the Dons, who upset current Blue Square Premier pacesetters Aldershot Town in the Trophy last season, have nothing to fear against Torquay.
Stevens said: "There are always upsets in cup competitions and there's no reason why it can't be Wimbledon. They are playing really well at the moment and they play a good style of football."
