A man has been arrested after reports of a woman being assaulted in the early hours of this morning (Thursday) in Thornton Heath.
Police were called at around 2.40am to reports of an incident in Melfort Road.
A woman, aged in her 30s, reported she had been assaulted by a man in the house.
A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm and was taken to custody where he remains.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 02.42hrs on Thursday, 28 October to reports of an incident on Melfort Road, CR7.
"Officers attended and spoke to a woman, aged in her 30s, who reported she had been assaulted by a male in the property.
"A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm and taken into custody where he remains."
