A hotel has been evacuated this morning (Wednesday) as a result of a fire.
25 firefighters tackled the blaze in the hotel in Dunheved Road South in Croydon from around 8.20am.
The fire broke out in an electrical plant room in the basement of a four-storey hotel.
Around 100 peoeple were evacuated by hotel staff before the Brigade arrived.
Fire crews from Norbury, Croydon and Tooting fire stations are at the scene.
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
As of around 9.20am, London Fire Brigade said the fire is under control.
The road was closed in both directions.
