A CCTV image of a man now being sought police is being circulated after reports of indecent exposure at a petrol station in Epsom last month.

The public information appeal published with the image said that the incident happened around 2.30pm on Friday, August 20.

Officers were called to the Esso petrol station on Reigate Road in Epsom after they received reports of an indecent exposure.

The victim, a woman with her two young children, was waiting to go into the car wash when she noticed a man behind her "with his genitals exposed", police said.

"The suspect is described as a white man of a medium build, in his 40s with very short/balding grey hair. He was wearing a dark blue fleece with a small white emblem on the top left chest area. He was also wearing pale, stonewash blue jeans and dark glasses," a police spokesperson said.

The incident is one on a growing list of sexual offences reported in Epsom recently.

Five days later, on August 25, a man exposed himself to a mother and her two young sons on Roy Richmond Lane in Epsom.

And in July, a 22-year-old man from Epsom was charged with sexual assault and breaching the conditions of his Sexual Risk Order after he reportedly "grabbed and dragged from behind" on Epsom Common on June 30.

Police continue to appeal for information about the Esso petrol station incident, asking anyone with information to contact them via their website or by calling 101 and quoting PR/45210088446, or calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
