The latest case rates have been released for every local authority area in England and in most of them, infections are falling.
Nationally, 285 out of the 377 local areas in England (76 per cent) have seen a fall in cases, and 90 (24 per cent) have seen a rise.
Two are unchanged.
These figures are accurate for the seven days to September 18 – with most recent days excluded for accuracy.
They are compared with a week prior – the seven days to September 11.
The figures are based on the number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19 in either a lab-reported or rapid lateral flow test, by specimen date.
The rate is expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 people.
Bexley
The Covid rate in Bexley has fallen to 172.9 (431 cases) from 247.5 (617 cases).
Bromley
The rate in Bromley is 186.6 (621 cases), having fallen from 225.1 (749 cases).
Greenwich
In Greenwich, the rate has fallen from 204.1 (590 cases) to 180.9 (523 cases).
Lewisham
Lewisham’s case rate is 166.7 (509 cases), with a drop from 213.9 (653 cases) the week prior.
Southwark
In Southwark, the rate is 147.8 (473 cases), having fallen from 185.9 (595 cases).
Dartford
Nearby in Dartford, the rate has risen from 218.3 (249 cases) to 238.5 (272 cases).
Corby in Northamptonshire has the highest rate in England at 631.0.
The list has been calculated by the PA news agency using data published on September 22 on the Government’s coronavirus dashboard.
