Winger Ryan Hall has left Crystal Palace in a loan deal with boss Neil Warnock insisting it is not a disciplinary measure.

Twenty-year-old Hall has joined Dagenham & Redbridge on a one-month loan just hours after it emerged that he had played in a five-a-side football match in which a security guard was seriously assaulted.

The incident happened at Goals Soccer Centre, in Elmers End Road, Beckenham, at about 7.45pm on Tuesday.

Security guard Matthew Ballard had to be taken to Mayday Hospital with facial injuries after the incident.

It is believed that he had stepped in to help the referee after players disagreed with his decision to send a man off.

But boss Warnock insists his decision to loan out Hall, who has made two first-team appearances this season, is in no way related to the incident.

Warnock said: "I just feel that Ryan needed some games and that is the only motivation behind my decision."
