Authorities are renewing their appeal for help in the search for a 60-year-old man missing from Mitcham.

Robert Moore, 60, lives in Mitcham but has been missing for over six weeks. He was reported missing on July 20.

Over 100 people shared an initial appeal published by Merton Police last month.

The borough police force have since renewed their appeal for information.

They suggested that the Mitcham man could be sleeping on the streets, and urged anyone who might recognize him to keep and eye out as they continued their search:

"Robert is still #Missing. Thank you to everyone who has shared this appeal so far. Sadly we are still trying to find Robert.

"It is thought that he may be living and sleeping on the streets. Please keep an eye out for him and retweet our appeal. Thank you," a spokesperson for Merton Police posted to Twitter.

The initial police appeal read: "#Missing | 21MIS025004. Robert Moore, 60, is missing from his home in #Mitcham. He was last seen by family on the 20th July. He is known to frequent St Luke's Church in West Norwood.

"If you see him, call 999. Have any information that could help us find him? Call 101. #Share."

The charity Missing People are also helping in the search for Robert, suggesting he could be missing from Wandsworth also.
