A man was threatened with a large machete in Croydon on Tuesday night.
Officers from Croydon attended the incident where one man was threatening another with the knife.
Police were on the scene quickly and detained the suspect.
The knife and also drugs were recovered.
Crodyon Police praised its team for getting "another knife off the street".
Officers revealed what had happened on social media.
The post said: "Great work from the team!
"Officers from Croydon attended an incident last night whereby male was threatened by another with a large machete – police on scene very quickly and detained suspect.
"Knife and drugs recovered.
"Another knife off the street!
"Well done team!"
