Known for its nightlife scene, Boxpark Croydon also serves some of downright best grub in the borough.

It's even ranked 11th best restaurant in all of Croydon according to Tripadvisor reviews.

Thursday (August 26) will see Croydon's iconic venue prove its culinary credentials again as it plays host to National Burger Day, hosting no less than six mouthwatering special burgers for the occasion.

The burger-themed day enters its ninth year on Thursday after its creation by the Mr Hyde men's interest email service in 2013.

It's since been picked up on by restaurants small and large across the country, with 2021 expected to be a particularly good edition for vegan burgers that increasing numbers of Brits are opting for these days.

"BUNS OUT! National Burger Day is back and BOXPARK will be throwing the ultimate burgerfest to give those burger-obsessed foodies a vast choice of mouth-watering patties to get stuck into.

"With some of London’s best burger traders, BOXPARK is the place to be for this year’s National Burger Day. On Thursday 26 August, head over to any of the London venues to celebrate the annual occasion and feast on burgers from a range of street food traders.

"Whether you’re after a fast-food fix or a gourmet feast, BOXPARK has curated a selection of the juiciest, filthiest burgers - offering both meaty marvels or plant-based patties."

According to one recent survey, burgers were the preferred takeaway food option for 28 cities including London.

With some of the options on show this National Burger Day it's not hard to see why.
