Two teenagers have appeared in court accused of murdering a 16-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in his own Shrublands home.

Camron Smith was allegedly chased and stabbed after answering the door to a group of males, two armed with Zombie knives.

Police were called to the flat in Bracken Avenue shortly before 1am on Thursday July 1.

Camron was treated at the scene but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Romain La Pierre, 18, of no fixed address, and a 15-year-old boy are charged with his murder.

They are also charged with the alleged knifepoint vehicle robbery of a taxi driver earlier that evening.

On Thursday, the case was brought before the Old Bailey for a preliminary hearing.

Judge Alexia Durran QC set a plea hearing for September 23 and remanded the defendants into custody.

The youth appeared by video link and La Pierre was not present but was represented in court.
