Clinton Morrison has admitted he would "probably sign" a new Crystal Palace deal if he is offered one by the club.

The Republic of Ireland international is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning he is now allowed to enter into pre-contract negotiations with other clubs with a view to leaving the club in the summer.

Eagles boss Neil Warnock has remained tight-lipped on the striker's future, fuelling speculation that Morrison could be on his way in the January transfer window or at the end of the season.

But Morrison has dropped the biggest hint yet that he is ready to thrash out a new deal with the Selhurst Park club that would secure his future as an Eagles player.

"I'm out of contract at the end of the season - but it's not something that is on my mind at the moment, said Morrison.

"I'm sure it will take care of itself - at the moment I just want to score goals for Crystal Palace.

"It's up to the club to come and talk to me, I'm not going to go and talk to the club about a contract.

"I just want to continue what I'm doing and hopefully I will be rewarded for it.

"In an ideally world I would like to stay here and if I was offered a new contract then I would probably sign it."
