Below we have broken this down to explain why Marlow has made this list of Bucks' best places to live.

‘Super-speedy London commute’

Starting with the commute the fastest train from Marlow Station to London has one change and is 46 minutes.

Alternatively, the drive to High Wycombe or Maidenhead is around 10 to 15 minutes for a faster 26 or 16-minute commute.

Driving takes roughly one hour depending on time and traffic.

‘Fabulous shopping’

Marlow homes a mix of independents and high-end street hits such as high street hits – Mint Velvet, Whistles, Office, The White Company, Sweaty Betty, OKA.

With the high-street only recently reopening a host of local independent stores captured the moment they opened their doors for the first in months.

‘Michelin-starred foodie scene’

Michelin-starred establishments The Coach and The Hand & Flowers, which is the only pub in the UK to hold two stars, are run by Tom Kerridge who has also spearheads Marlow’s ‘Pub in the Park’.

Pub in the Park is a food and music festival held at Higginson Park, which showcases various menus from a range of chefs.

There are also other great places to eat from The Chequers or The Royal Oak just on the outskirts.

Or if it’s brunch you’re after there’s The Ivy Marlow or the industrial café Coopers.
